Richard Dang

Richard Dang, a Cambodian Canadian filmmaker, explores themes of guilt, peace within violence, and intergenerational reconciliation. A union Assistant Director since 2021, he used the 2023 strikes as an opportunity to direct his own work. Since then, he has made 20 films, screening at festivals across Canada.

This year, VAFF FESTIVAL, screening programs in person and virtual will be organized into various series in order to better highlight the diverse content in our festival.
