Two small-time burglars kidnap a wealthy businessman’s son for ransom, only to discover his abusive home life and face a choice between cashing in or becoming his protectors.

Richard Dang

Richard Dang, a Cambodian Canadian filmmaker, explores themes of guilt, peace within violence, and intergenerational reconciliation. A union Assistant Director since 2021, he used the 2023 strikes as an opportunity to direct his own work. Since then, he has made 20 films, screening at festivals across Canada.
