Dancing Home

A choreographer who left his Indigenous community at a young age to pursue dance returns home to create with Indigenous dancers—rekindling his lost sense of belonging and rediscovering himself through movement.

Wang Cheng Yi

Graduated from the Applied Media Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts. Short films “Please Insert Coins” and “The Good Days” were nominated for the Taipei Film Festival’s Theme Award and Golden Harvest Award. Focusing on documentary cinematography work in recent years, and “Dancing Home” is the first feature-length documentary as a director.
