Jennifer Lin of Philadelphia made the pivot into filmmaking after a 31-year career as a correspondent for The Philadelphia Inquirer in Beijing, New York and Washington, D.C. About Face is her third documentary, following Beethoven in Beijing (2020) and Ten Times Better (2024).
