Song for No One

From his apartment in Brooklyn, Gene hosts an independent radio show to platform his music in hopes of one day finding a dedicated audience. Instead, his radio show reaches his recently deceased mother Sook-Ja in the after life, through a radio powered by the stationary bikes that Sook-Ja and her interpreter Han Sol, ride each day.

Liam Ma

Liam Ma (he/him) is a Canadian Screen Award nominated actor and emerging filmmaker currently based on the unceded and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tseil-Waututh) peoples, known as Vancouver. His first directorial short film “Song for No One” had its world premiere at Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival. As an actor, his work has screened globally, premiering at the Cannes International Series Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Sydney Web Fest, and the Canadian Film Fest.
